Here is a picture I took at a local grocery store.\u00a0 The difference at point of sale is almost imperceptible to busy consumers who are used to quickly reaching for their silver can.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-997\" src=\"https:\/\/imagemme.com\/newsite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/photo-765x1024.jpg\" alt=\"photo\" width=\"765\" height=\"1024\" srcset=\"https:\/\/imagemme.com\/newsite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/photo-765x1024.jpg 765w, https:\/\/imagemme.com\/newsite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/photo-224x300.jpg 224w, https:\/\/imagemme.com\/newsite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/photo-768x1028.jpg 768w, https:\/\/imagemme.com\/newsite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/photo.jpg 1936w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 765px) 100vw, 765px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Secondly, a seasonal or trend driven reference that is not a constant part of the product line up, should never alter the design in its entirety.\u00a0 In our opinion, the design was too literal, and a more minimal or abstract nod to the fund that still maintained the core brand attributes would have been better received by consumers, and also reduced confusion.\u00a0 When it comes to brands as iconic as Coke, even the slightest change is palpable to consumers and liable to cause confusion.<\/p>\n<p>Coke does not intend to pull the already shipped cans, so diabetics, beware!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Coca-Cola, the world\u2019s leading beverage company (and the most iconic), pulls the new Coke cans intended to highlight its partnership with the World WildLife Fund, due to consumer confusion.
