Eureka, a well-known vacuum cleaner brand, approached us with the challenge of developing branding and packaging for a new product that would replace Dyson at Walmart stores nationwide. The product needed to convey a sense of high-tech power, while also being approachable and easy to use. To accomplish this, we used lifestyle images that demonstrated various use cases and featured a diverse family to show that this vacuum was powerful yet accessible to anyone. As a result, the branding and packaging effectively conveyed the capabilities and user-friendliness of the product.

To capture the innovative technology at the heart of the new vacuum cleaner product, we explored various concepts for the innova logo and eventually settled on a wordmark featuring a vortex or whirlwind “O.” This “O” motif was also incorporated into the packaging design, appearing as a background embellishment for the product’s hero image to make it stand out on store shelves. Overall, the innova logo and packaging effectively conveyed the cutting-edge design of the product to consumers.
Given the size of vacuum cleaner boxes, we wanted to ensure that our packaging for the new Innova upright vacuum focused on highlighting the rich feature set of the product while maintaining a sleek and minimalistic aesthetic. To achieve this, we art directed modern photography that featured isolated subjects on black backgrounds, creating a high-end look that did not distract from the design of the vacuum itself.
In collaboration with the marketing team, we ensured that all of the final features of the new Innova upright vacuum were accurately reflected in the packaging and in-store pop display designs. Our efforts paid off with a successful launch, and the Innova brand has since expanded its product line to include a stick vacuum. It was a pleasure to work on this project and contribute to this exciting new brand.
