Crafting the GPEN Elite

A first-mover and leading lifestyle brand in the vapor space, Grenco Science approached us to overhaul their product line. After conducting in depth interviews with the Grenco Science team and culling data and risk profiles on the fledgling vapor industry from a variety of sources, we developed product profiles based on a suite of features absent from Grenco’s existing product line and the vapor space as a whole, then modeled roadmaps for each of these new offerings. We zeroed in on the GPEN Elite as the flagship of Grenco’s rebrand — a hyper-stylized vaporizer that did every product in its category one better. Then we moved on to products of a sort the market hadn’t seen before.

Shaping A
Product Family

We worked closely with the Grenco Science team to outline a balanced, tiered product offering that both anticipated and shaped market trends for the next several years. Sketching outward from features, we ideated a suite of striking, ergonomic form factors of a shared design language, then versioned them several generations on down the line.

Packaging & Merchandising

From there, we ideated multiple approaches to product and accessory packaging, then isolated several for prototyping and development. Grenco also asked that we develop a range of point of purchase merchandising structures, and that we map out their display in key retail locations.

The Future
of Vapor

Working with Grenco’s team on multiple launches down the rollout, we developed a variety of product reveal videos and marketing collateral calling out select brand collaborations. Thus far, the GPen Elite and GPen Pro 2 are the best reviewed vaporizers in their category.
